An History of Formula-X

Last night, F-X reporters caught up with Moodswing and Glen Jacobs for a candid interview about the making of MONDAY NIGHT FUEL.

The co-showrunners were more than happy to divulge the history behind the ground-breaking show. Moodswing explained that before the idea of Fuel was born, there was just F-X.

While Moodswing and Glen were tight-lipped about the origin of the F-X engines and the era before, it has been well documented that over a year ago the Metro Police put a stop to a long-running  underground open-wheel racing scene rumored to be contested in ex-formula vehicles (hence the name F-X… a play on ex-F). Due to the illegal nature of this “era before”, it’s understandable why the co-showrunners were reluctant to speak on the matter.

“So while we were sitting there with this existing concept of racing these ex-formula engines, we realized if we were going to do something with them, it would have to set itself apart from existing entities like Africa’s Auto 1, Europe’s F1 and America’s IndyCar,” explained Moodswing. “That’s when we envisioned a sports entertainment TV series,” added Glenwood.

And by combining sports elements borrowed from high school rugby events and entertainment elements borrowed (heavily) from Wrestling, an entirely new animal was born called Monday Night Fuel.
