When The Scramble was first announced, no one knew what to expect. It was the first time that all the F-X racers would be on the circuit at the same time. No one knew whether it would be a hit or a miss.
While there were some that believed F-X giving viewers basically what other motorsport championship races gave was bound to feel too familiar and be a let down, others were convinced that the sheer uniqueness (for F-X) was going to do the job and make it a success.
As it turns out the latter were right. The Scramble ended up being a success and the popular notion is that it was successful because the F-X series had kept these racers from going at it with each other all at once for just long enough that when they finally did collide… it was epic!
