THE NEW FUEL SPEEDWAY

As promised, when Monday Night Fuel returned last night, it christened the brand new circuit which is characterized by the L shape that it takes.

While fans will surely miss being able to see the engines chasing each other in a race at all times, the disadvantage of watching the vehicles disappearing around the corner is small compared to watching them return to what’s been called the ‘OG section of the Speedway’ with tremendous speed that the old circuit never would have allowed.

We caught up with Moodswing who explained the reason for it’s structure. “The design of the new Fuel Speedway was to be much longer, taking advantage of the old airport runways. But we resisted the urge to put treacherous turns and bends as we still wanted it to have that ‘run-of-the-mill’ playing-at-home feeling.”

Moodswing went on to say that this would allow PPVs to maintain their special playing-away feeling while all the while making Monday Night Fuel more exciting and more high octane.

It has also been noted that the stands have also been extended right around the inside of the bend allowing the Fuel Speedway to occupy 5000 fans. Right off the bat, it looks like this move was a good one as the average attendance does seemed to have doubled from 1500 to a whopping 3500.
