NICKNAMES OF THE GRAND PRIX

So for the past few weeks we have heard non-stop talk of the biggest racecard of the season: THE FORMULA-X GRAND PRIX. However the other thing that we’ve been hearing is all the nicknames of the Grand Prix.

While many a fan have come to calling it “The Crown Jewel of Sports Entertainment” and the “Main Event of Motorsport” the one that has stood out is “The Granddaddy of Them All”.

One of the biggest reasons that this one stands out is because it shares its distinction with not only the Rose Bowl Game — a prestigious college football match — but also with the one that started it all in Sports Entertainment: WrestleMania.

While the Rose Bowl Game has never had issue with its marketing, WWE’s centrepiece is a different story. WWE is known to have a fascination with branding. However when F-X reporters did some research, we found out that perhaps this is the one time they’d let F-X get away with it.

You see, for some time now, WWE has been moving away from WrestleMania being called “the Granddaddy of them All” as they believe it makes WrestleMania sound old.

We’ll reserve our opinion on that as we look forward to the Granddaddy of Them All.
