Last week saw the introduction of two race types for the F-X series. While one was introduced in a demonstration, the other would go onto be the feature-race of the night and also the spectacle.
The relay race is mostly the most identifiable type of race in the Formula-X series. With each team having two racers, it bares a striking resemblance to Auto 1 racing teams. However where they differ lies all the fun.
The an F-X relay race, the teammates take turns alternating each lap (although this can be changed via stipulation) with one racing teammate entering the pit stop as the other exits. The switch must take place as per the rules or the offending race will be penalized by having their partner’s lap delayed by a few seconds.
