In an interesting segment of the show, Glenwood Jacobs spoke to F-X reporters live in front of the capacity crowd in the middle of the Fuel Speedway where he introduced Darcy Stevens.
He continued by introducing something that he said had never been done before: a drag race. While the drag race in and of itself was a common way for drivers to compete especially in the illegal street racing scene, this type of drag racing set itself apart for being the first major occurrence of drag racing in open-wheeled formula-style auto-racing.
“Drag racing is one of the purest forms of racing as it involves two racers driving from point A to B in a straight line: the winner is undisputed.” Glen wood went on to say that this type of race would be a staple feature of the Formula-X series.
The demonstration proved to be a major success judging by crowd reactions and the F-X reporters speaks for everyone when we say we look forward to seeing some showdowns.
