THE RACING DIARIES

Around the Circuit
F-X reporters recently caught up with Glenwood Jacobs in an effort to learn more about one of the common races on Monday Night Fuel: the match race.

The match race is the standard race of the Formula-X series and tends to feature more than once on every racecard. When we asked Glenwood about the number of laps, he had this to say. “The number of laps in a standard circuit match race was not chosen carelessly. When the F-X R.C. committee discussed the different race types we were going to offer, they looked at the length of the race as they didn’t want it to be too long like an F1 race, definitely. But they didn’t want it to be too short. A ten lap race takes roughly 4 to 5 minutes to complete. Feature-races tend to take twice that long.”

From this information, F-X reporters managed to determine that with four to five races on every racecard, it would take half an hour to go through all the races meaning F-X is living up to being the fastest show in the country.
